Perception Rehabilitation (PR) is the trademarked model of stress elimination that makes the backbone of what IATAI is.
In a nut shell, PR is a process of identifying things/people that activate our stress response and being purposeful about rehabilitating those triggers to ultimately change our beliefs about what is stressful and what is not.
PR is a truly holistic model of health that harnesses the mind's power over the body's nervous system to begin a journey of identifying and altering our core beliefs about who we are and how we respond to the environment around us.
We begin with in-depth education about the survival response in the body so that we can be aware of anytime that survival mode is activated. We then balance that situation with the understanding that this survival response is designed to help us escape danger. Using this lens to see our many experiences, we are able to reassess whether or not we really need to survive that situation. This enables us to build a mental portfolio of evidence to support what will become a new belief about this situation.
Our mind perceives the world around us automatically based on what we believe about that situation. This perception is what steers our body to either remain in safety mode or transition into survival mode. By rehabilitating that faulty perception hijacks the whole self and begins a process of healing and bonding of our body, mind and spirit making us whole.
