Under a bit of construction, but when aren't we? Check back for updates or just contact me.
This is not a complete definition because our spiritual self is incredibly complex, but it is a component that allows us to interact with our spiritual nature.
Our spirit, like our mind, is intangible. We cannot see it or touch it, but it is very real and plays a role in connecting us to everything else that is spiritual. I like to visualize it as a shockwave that touches everyone else's shockwave around us. I also see it as a wave that connects us to God and shapes our beliefs in regard to all our spiritual connections.
Belief is defined as the assent of our mind to the truth. Truth is reality. These are foundational concepts, core concepts. I believe that we are spiritual beings at our core and therefore our core beliefs and response to truth is deeply spiritual. This is evidenced by the spiritual focus of all religions, which also place most of their priority on the making and altering of beliefs. We see this approach all around us but do not usually try to break it down into smaller parts.
Our holistic self is defined for our purposes as a spiritual core of truths that form our mind's lenses to manifest in a reflective physical body. If we want to change the refection, we have to change the origin. The roots control the fruit. Our roots are our beliefs and they shape how we see the world around us which controls how our body responds. The simplest breakdown is survive or safety. What do you believe about your world? Your body will tell you... If the survival mode is activated, you believe you are not safe. We can help you walk this journey.
